Hullo everyone
There seems to be some confusion about haggles, cards and Hamper day eligibility. Here are some guidelines.
1. If you enter YES to playing in the day’s competition (ie the haggle), you are committing to paying the $5 men, $4 women haggle fee, regardless of whether you finish your round, or enter your score, or not.
2. In future, if you do not enter your score, your round cannot be counted for Hamper Day. You can still win nearest the pin or longest drive.
3. The eligibility for daily entry to Hamper Day is playing a minimum of 13 holes (only exception is if there is a military reason).
4. You MUST enter your score so we can see that you have met the playing criteria for Hamper Day.
5. When entering your score, use PICK UP if you started the hole but didn’t putt out, or NOT ATTEMPTED if you did not complete any hole.
Last Saturday when the weather was bad, some players who entered the haggle did not finish their round. Several of them did not enter their score cards, so we do not know whether they played 13 holes to be eligible for Hamper Day. If you were one of these players, please get hold of me to discuss how many holes you played, as I know there were some who started on 7 and finished on 2, giving them 14 holes.
