From The Course Maintenance Manager,
Members are reminded of the following:
1. Recyclable material. We have separate containers in the bar area for cans, bottles and general waste. Also, two large blue yellow top wheelie bins are positioned at the corner of the clubhouse closet to the course entry gate; one for recycling and one for general waste.
As we only have general waste bins on the course at present, please bring your empty glass/aluminium and plastic bottle back off the course and place in the recycling bin by the gate; if you can carry a container on full it should not be a problem bringing it off empty. Remember, just as at home plastic/metal bottle tops are not recyclable and need to be removed and go in the general waste bins. There is currently a significant amount of recyclable material being placed in the on-course bins at present.
- There is no vaping or smoking allowed on the course. This is part of the Governments smoke free policy that the NZDF was directed to be one of the lead departments to implement. The designated smoking area is just outside the BBQ area by the back landing to the Clubhouse. You are responsible for guest compliance with this.
- There is no alcohol to be consumed on the course without Board approval. The Board has been delegated this approval from the Base Commander for a limited number of designated events, and comes with the Board having a number of protocols in place with regard to host responsibilities. Abuse of this will see this delegation removed, and also result in disciplinary action being taken against the offending member(s) e.g. suspension/removal of membership.
