All members of RNZAF Auckland Golf Club
Recently the Officer in Charge of Golf on behalf of the Base Commander has needed to take the step of banning another 2 members from playing on the course for a month. This has been because of members entering areas of the course that are marked as prohibited. Further instances of this will result in similar bans for members. Repeat offenders will have their membership of the club reviewed.
The club and the Base take the safety of golfers and Defence staff very seriously. The rules in place are for the safety of golfers and Defence staff.
Ø When an aircraft is on the taxiway beside the 8th hole –
- the following holes are closed for all players – 8, 9, 10, 11, 16 and 17.
- Transit from the 7th green to the 12th tee down the fence line on 16.
- Transit from the 15th green to the 18th tee down the fence line on 16 and then down the left side of the 7th fairway.
Ø All Areas of the course marked with orange tipped markers and sometimes with ropes are no go areas at all times for all players.
