LADIES GOLF NEWSLETTER – OCTOBER 23RD.
Greetings fellow golfers,
Our official golfing calendar is almost over, and there are some important dates coming up.
10th November Sunday – SHOOTOUT entries have closed and the competition will be on Sunday 10th November.
29th October Tuesday – The last day to post scores on your ECLECTIC card and the BIRDIE TREE.
Congratulations to all our Championship winners – and thank you to all those who participated in the competition.
19th November Tuesday – We will be acknowledging the winners at our PRIZE GIVING at 12.30. Please bring a plate for a shared lunch. I would like to encourage as many of you as possible to share the lunch, including all our members who cannot play at the moment for various reasons. It’s a great chance to have a laugh and spread the aroha. I apologies to those who can’t attend because of work, or other commitments, but it is impossible to find a time and date that suits everyone.
PLEASE BRING BACK ANY TROPHIES YOU HAVE BY TUESDAY 29TH SO WE CAN GET THEM ENGRAVED AND READY FOR THE NEW RECIPIENT.
5th November Tuesday – Melbourne Cup Day and therefore we won’t be able to hold our normal Tuesday Club Day. How about, those of us who can, pop our names down between 8.00 and 9.30 on Monday 4th instead?
14th November –Thursday – is Our TEAMS DAY, We have currently 21 teams taking part. Thank you so much to all those people who have donated goodies for our raffle baskets. As well as a great day of golf, this should be a good fundraiser for us.
26th November Tuesday – Our CLOSING DAY for the Ladies,
7th December Saturday – is HAMPER day ! We’ll have a shotgun start for closing day. Be at the club at 8am for an 8.30 start and we’ll do something special, with a shared lunch again afterwards. More on that closer to the time.
After Hamper Day, we go into our summer holiday competitions, and there is no official Tuesday club day until the start of the new season in February.
I would appreciate any comments you have on how things have gone this year, and whether you would like to see any changes.
Keep smiling and Keep golfing.
Your Ladies Captain,
Lesley
