Welcome to a new golfing year, and a special welcome to all our new members. For those new ladies who may not know our Ladies only Club days are on Tuesday mornings when we tee off between 8 am and 9.50 am and Club Day Mixed ( Men and Ladies ) is on Saturdays (tee off times from 7.30 am until 12.20).
On these two Club days we play a haggle, with a $4 entry fee, where players can win balls. We also generally (especially during the summer months), play for one of our numerous trophies. However, there is no compunction to enter these competitions and you can simply play a round of golf.
This Friday the 31st January, is the last day to enter a card for the summer competition.
Saturday 1st Feb is our Club official Opening Day for 2025. Details are on the RNZAF Golf website.
On Tuesday 4th Feb, is our Ladies Opening Day. We’ll be playing a fun team game with prizes. Please arrive between 8 and 8.15 am for an 8.30 am start. We’ll be teeing off from 3 -4 tees so we all finish around the same time, so can gather in the club house at the end. It’s all about meeting each other and having fun.
We have a Midweek Pennants team for this Thursday playing at Pupuke, and a Weekend Pennants team for this Sunday, playing at North Shore. However not everyone in these teams will be able to play every game so if any of you are interested in representing your Club and getting the opportunity for a free round at other courses, please let me know. Weekend Pennants are on Sundays (roughly every second Sunday) and Midweek pennants are every second Thursday through February, March and April.
