Time to announce our Stableford Cup winner. Congratulations to Mike Holmes who scored 113 points over his best 3 rounds, with Mark Dunlop as runner up with 110. Great scores from both.
Winner of the one division on King’s Birthday Monday was Ivo Grabner with 38 stablefords. His round included a jackpot too on 12 and 15. Congratulations on a great round! Not easy getting that many stablefords when you play off a 1 handicap. Steve Rigg and Michael Tully also scored 38.
A reminder that you can still enter Shootout, as you only require 3 good scores to qualify for the final on 10th November. Cost is $20, payable to Kath at the match table. This includes your breakfast if you make the final 19. Just make sure that you put your name in the shootout book by the haggle sheet in your respective changing rooms.
Matariki (Fri 28th June) is now going to count as a Hamper Day haggle. Matt is planning a Par 3 competition with a shotgun start, so as long as you enter the haggle, then you can count another card towards the required 25.
Ready Golf is always encouraged at our course. Please make sure that at least one of you steps up to the tee as soon as you get there. They can always mark their card while the others are teeing off. And if you are a low handicap player in a group of low handicaps, just remember that you are playing far less shots than someone who plays off a 20. Of course you are going to have to wait at a few holes because of this. Comments about the speed of play are not helpful to a player who is struggling!
