Members,
We are about to go thru quite a few busy weekends at the club and here is a rundown of what is happening.
- Sunday 21 Sept – Remuera Club (Golf Section) 10.45-11.45am Tee times
- Sunday 28 Sept – RNZAF vs Henderson RSA Annual Ted Clements Memorial Day. Players required to represent the club turn up at 8.20am. (Morning Casual Players to tee off 7 please.)
- Tuesday 30 Sept – Twilight Begins
- Saturday 4 Oct – Club Champs All Day.
- Thursday 9 Oct – Jalcon Homes Golf Day Course Closed till 3.30pm
- Saturday 11 Oct – Club Champs All Day
- Sunday 19 Oct – East Coast Bays Hockey 11.00am thru to around 3.30pm. Members offered shotgun start at 7.45am must be off the course by 11.
Congrats to the following players who will be playing in the Matchplay Finals:
- Singles – Branko Wijnstok vs Alberto Huang
- Doubles – Dave Sorenson/Pat Higgins vs Ian Franklin/Keith O’Hanlon
As we approach these busy periods I would like to ask all members (and their visitors) to please ensure we repair our pitch marks and where possible our divots. And when we are relaxing in and around the clubhouse we tidy up after ourselves and wipe down our tables.
The golf course may be closed around 2.30pm on the Fridays prior to Club Champs to allow Greenkeeping staff to do their magic.
There will be a working bee on Friday 3 Oct to tidy up fence lines, creeks and the general course at 3.30pm. Please bring rakes and gloves.
